Ikigai is a Japanese concept that translates as ‘a reason to get up in the morning’
It’s not linked to your status in society, or the money you earn.
Everyone’s Ikigai is unique. it’s based on your personal history, your values, your beliefs, your hobbies and your personality.
1. Think about what brings you joy, the activities that make you forget everything else.
2. Sometimes it’s a hobby and you may be already doing it.
1. This is about the impact you want to have, whether it is on your local community, on a specific group of people or in the world.
2. Yes, you can think big, there’s nothing presumptuous about that.
1. If you can include a money-making activity in your Ikigai, it’s just better!
2. It could be by doing a job, by selling a product and/or a service.
